Death

If you die after your retirement date, your partner and/or children may be entitled to a benefit payment from the pension fund. Whether or not this is the case depends on:

What do your surviving dependants have to do?
If you die, the pension fund will contact your partner and/or your children. We can only do that if your personal details are up to date. Are you living abroad? Make sure to always report any changes.

What happens if you are married, have a registered partner or are living together (and have registered your partner with the pension fund) at the time of your death? Your surviving dependants will receive a form for a partner’s and/or orphan’s pension, which needs to be completed and returned within 3 weeks of your death.
